Summary:
The Slenderman Prodigy: Scarecrow is an original take on the popular Slenderman game format. Made with Unity and developed for the Universal Windows Platform, this game is playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Windows 10 PCs.
Gameplay:
The player navigates a large map, covered in trees and drenched in fog, with the goal of finding all of the crows hidden throughout the abandoned plot of land. While doing this, the player is pursued by a tall, lanky scarecrow that aims to put an end to the intruder's crusade.
Concept:
The scarecrow is a void of solid black color that is intended to blend in with the dark silhouettes of the trees and other tall skinny extrusions surrounding it. Because of this the fog is the main enemy of the player, causing them to have to constantly scan the approaching arrangements of trees ahead of them to make sure none of the silhouettes look unnatural or out of place. Failing to do so will cause the player to walk right into the unmoving scarecrows strike range, ending their current attempt. The fog can also act as the player's friend, as it makes it easier to see the dim yellow glow coming from places such as the old, abandoned church, where the magic crows often like to reside.
